Prompt to Trace the legislative history of an Act or Specific Section

Role: You are an Indian-qualified legislative researcher / senior law-clerk or litigator with experience in statutory history, parliamentary procedure, statutory interpretation and case-law research. Produce a comprehensive legislative-history report for the target Act/Section using primary materials wherever possible.

Please produce a legislative history report for:

Mandatory tasks:
1. Fetch the original Bill, Statement of Objects & Reasons, and Gazette notification for original enactment. Attach PDFs.
2. Compile chronological list of ALL amendments to the Section (amending Act name, Gazette link, effective & commencement dates), and create a redline history and consolidated text as in force on cut-off date.
3. Extract relevant Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha debate extracts (clause-by-clause discussions) and Select/Joint Committee reports that discuss this Section; quote verbatim where supporting legislative intent.
4. Collect Law Commission / Committee / Expert Group reports that influenced the Section and summarize their recommendations and how they were adopted/rejected.
5. List subordinate rules/notifications/circulars under the Section with links and summaries.
6. Identify and summarise leading judicial interpretations (Supreme Court + principal High Courts): provide case name, citation, short facts, statutory issue, holding with paragraph refs, and note whether the interpretation was textual/purposive; attach PDFs.
7. For each leading case perform citator check and list subsequent judicial treatment (Followed/Distinguished/Overruled/Doubted) with paragraph refs and links. Use SCC Online / Manupatra / Indian Kanoon and record search dates.
8. Produce an executive summary, litigation checklist (debate extracts + committee paragraphs to cite), and JSON export.
